COUNCIL MEMBER VAN BRAMER HONORS 13 YEAR-OLD TRANSGENDER YOUTH ROCKY SANABRIA
On Wednesday, October 5th, at the City Council Stated Meeting, Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer honored 13 year-old Rocky Sanabria, a transgender teen who lives in Woodside, and has shown immense bravery, wisdom and leadership at a young age.

COUNCIL MEMBER VAN BRAMER DONATES SCHOOL SUPPLIES COLLECTED FROM 2ND ANNUAL DRIVE
On Wednesday, October 5th, Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer joined students, parents and staff at IS 125 in Woodside to donate supplies from his 2nd Annual Back to School Supply Drive for local schools. This year, the Council Member’s drive received over 4,000 items that were donated by community members. The items were dropped off at five libraries throughout District 26 and his district office at 47-01 Queens Boulevard. The items included book bags, writing materials, rulers, and much more!

Council Member Van Bramer Launches 1st Community Design Initiative for Noonan Playground
On Monday, October 3rd, Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer joined students from PS 199 and community members to kick off his Noonan Park Community Design Initiative in Sunnyside. Council Member Van Bramer has secured $600,000 in order to redesign Noonan Park’s Playground. In an effort to increase transparency and community input in the playground’s design process, Van Bramer will be the first elected official to ask the community for their vision for the design of a public space.
