Majority Leader Jimmy Van Bramer Delivers Supplies From 8th Annual Drive to Students of P.S. 111

On Tuesday, September 19th I delivered hundreds of supplies collected from our 8th Annual Back to School Supplies Drive to the students of P.S. 111. Each and every child deserves to walk into school with the dignity that comes from a full backpack. Many families in our community struggle with the cost of supplies like notebooks, a backpack, or a calculator.

So for the 8th year, my office held a month long supplies drive to ensure students have the supplies they need to succeed. I thank all of the generous people who donated throughout Western Queens and Principal Dionne Jaggon and the amazing faculty of P.S. 111 for your work giving the children of P.S. 111 the tools they need to learn, grow, and be the best they can be.

From August 8th to September 5th, community members donated hundreds of school supplies, like backpacks, notebooks, pencils, crayons, calculators, and rulers, at my District Office and at five Queens Library drop off locations.
